Week 2 8/30/18

Using sociological perspective, it’s a lot easier to look at life in a whole new point of perspective. The amount of social conflict going around the world makes it tremendously hard to focus on the positives and goods of the world. In a world where the use of the conflict theory seems to be the agenda of our protectors. How does one have hope for the greater good of this nation? The use of mass media to persuade a nation full of fear, pain and social suffering, but yet a nation full of fingers to point with blame.

One thing that can affect society positively from technology and the advancement with social media would be how it makes keeping families close together much easier and more convenient for relatives living further away. A negative with technology is how much easier it becomes to have of perceptions of reality altered by any source of possible bias medium.

Something positive I can do to help society using media would be to use multiple resources to fact check to make sure I am properly informed. I could however affect society negatively by spreading much false information on the internet or person to person confrontation.

I chose this video because it goes to show how technology starts to control everyone’s lives, and how social media has become a part of everyday modern society one way or another It also shows the effects of too much social media, which is a major problem in our society at the moment.

1) Which paradigm do we use most frequently?

2) In which ways have social conflict each individual race, and which one more positively? And which one most negatively.

3) Is there a way social conflict can be used for good, rather than scaring everyone into believing In something out of fear?

Hypothetically we could resolve this by not being so absorbed by media and the way it uses social theory as a way to keep people living within fear.
